I need your help

Ok homies. I need your help. I visited a site the other day, and I cannot for the life of me find it. I have googled, I have looked in history (even though I'm sure I visited it at work, not here) and I cannot find this site. Let me describe it to you.

It's a blog Template maker. Basically, I started out, I picked a color from a color palatte, and it matched 8 other colors with mine to make a great color scheme. Then, you go through and select which color you want for what part of your blog. So, I pick this color for the scrollbar, this one for the font, this one for the background, etc... IT WAS GREAT! It was perfect for me! AND IT WAS FREE! Can someone please help me find this site? It wasn't sixseven.com either. That isn't really much help for me. :(

New Thing

Ok everybody. I have this new thing I'm doing now on my blog. It's great because anyone can participate. This is the new home for "things that annoy me." For EVERYBODY! It's great. Basically, you'll be commenting on this blog, but you don't have to try and find it each time you come here. All you have to do is click on "Annoyed" underneath my Linky Dinky's, and add your own! I will monitor this closely, so there will not be any put downs or direct insults to others. Such behaviour will not be tolerated. Come on, we're adults. Anyway, it'll be a great way for you all to vent, and for us all to laugh! :) Enjoy!

Thanksgiving

So, since today is a day of giving thanks, and most people are talking about what they are thankful for, I decided I would do something a little different. What I'm not thankful for. This is an audience participation excercise, and I want all of you to get involved. Tell me what you are not thankful for.

FOR INSTANCE:
I am not thankful for the people that break into my car.
I am not thankful for the paper mill.
I am not thankful for assholes.
I am not thankful for other things that I will not mention because I promised not to say his name on my blog.
I am not thankful for stupid cartoons about squid that hump everything
I am not thankful for no insurance and not being able to afford medical care.

etc...

This is actually quite a hard task. It's hard to think of something that i'm not thankful for, because for every 1 thing i'm not thankful for, i can come up with 300 things I am grateful for. So lets hear it! What are you ungrateful for?

No chemicals on the plants, please

So today, I'm standing here wondering what to blog about next. I have an idea that once a week I'm going to reveal one of my treasured 467 some things that annoy me. But, I want to change my blog a bit, and spiff it up so everyone feels welcome, and wants to visit every day. But in order to do that I need your help. Yes you. No, really I'm talking to you. You know who you are. The one person that has read this blog 1616 times. (ha). No, all of you. All of you that stop by for tea, and those that stop by for a place to lay your head for the night. What would you like to see happen to this blog? If you think I should add a racing stripe, or if you think that there should be more monkeys, or whatever, (minus nudity and sex you pervs) tell me. I'll take it all into consideration, and i'll do what I can with what I have to my disposal. I'd like to change the dot theme, for both Bea's blog (if she'll let me) and my own, but we'll see. None of the other blogs fit as well as the dot theme. Anyway, let me know!

The list

Today I'm going to talk about a list I started when I was a senior in High School. I'm not going to post the whole thing here, because it is 9 pages long, and quite negative. It's called my "things that annoy me list." This list has 446 items on it, and I haven't worked on it in months. And that's what I would like to talk about. It has been months since I've put anything on my list, and I'm so happy about it. It means that I'm letting less and less get to me. It means not as much stuff makes me angry. There are people's names on this list, mainly people I went to highschool and college with, and people I worked with, and customers, and habits, and situations. This is all my collaboration, nobody else has helped me with this, although there are things on this list that people suggested, but I put it together myself. I have a disclaimer on my list that if you are offended by these things, you shouldn't be. I do some of these things as well, although I try not to. I will sample some of my favorites.

5. People who add a k to the end of -ing words [runnink]
7.People who move their lips while I'M talking
23. People who Nyum Nyum while they eat
138.When I hit my shin on the dresser/ door/ table
199. When a stapler doesn't work
200. When I'm doing something obvious- (painting, typing, etc) and someone comes up and asks me what I'm doing
244. People who drop off the end of their senten...
283. When people can't stand or sit still
314. Stupid people [Stupid people is on my list a total If 12 times i think.]
327. When I sprint to the phone and on the second ring (the time I pick up) the other person has hung up

You get the idea. My list is quite offensive in parts, and that's why I'm not posting the whole thing on here. I think it's funny to see the things that used to piss me off, and now no longer do. I think it's great. I am not getting as rattled as I once had. It was a really great tool to vent, especially those universal annoyances that we all have. And those are the things that make us human. Those are the little nuances that make it fun to make fun of people. I love to watch people and see what they do during the day, at the mall and at the business. Especially working at a hotel. It's funny to see the stuff people do in the morning during breakfast, and some little things that used to bother me, no longer do. There are still things that bother me, of course, like rude customers, and people that suck at driving, but those things bother everybody. I'm truly growing in many ways, and it feels great!

Car Show!

Today I'm going to a car show, and when I come back I will have pictures!! I'm excited for it! I'll see you all then!

4 hours later...

Hey guess what. I forgot my camera. But I did have other photos developed, and I'm very glad I did. Got some ones from high school, my first year of college and my second year of college. And some photos of family and one of Brian. So we'll see what I do with those. I'm off to watch the game. Clemson VS South Carolina Gamecocks, (YES, their mascot is a gamecock.) I'm rooting for Clemson. They truly are the better team. Anyway, see you!

UPDATE:
Clemson won!! So I won an ice cream from Sonic. Hooray! I'll post later tonight after I've cleaned up the house and my room a bit. Viewer Discretion is advised.

What I'm thinking about right now:

If I have mistakes with my spelling or apostrophes, please don't judge me. I have some problems with my hand and my pinky is taped to my ring finger.

I have been thinking a lot lately about goals. I really don't care a lot about goals, and have never really felt a need to use them. Its complicated, but my goals are always too high, and I can't set them lower. But lately, I have been thinking about where I want to be. Because I don't want to be at this job, and I would like to move away from here. I like Charleston, but I'm ready to move. So that is my short term goal, to move.

isn't it funny how our goal terms vary in length and severity. My immediate goal is to finish this post. My next goal is to find something to eat. The goal after that is to get up and face work tomorrow. The next goal is to get a different job. The goal after that is to get new tires. The goal after that is to get a new apartment. The next goal is to move away and decide where to go. The goal after that is to get an education. The goal after that is to achieve my ultimate goal, which is "be on stage again."

interesting isn't it? I think until recently, I denied myself the ideal that I had goals. Ireland was a goal, but it is an eventual goal. "Being on stage again" is my ultimate goal. The problem I have with goals is, what if you don't make it? What if you fail your goal? Even the small ones. Then you fail right? And you tried your hardest, but oops, it was all in vain. What if you lived all your life to do one thing, and then at the last minute, it didn't work out, and you never had a chance to do it again. It seems black and white with goals. I dunno. And its not like i dont have goals, because i do. I have lots! but sometimes, it can be easy to feel tied down to these goals. its even harder when you dont have the means to acheive your goal. sometimes a person simply cannot pursue their goal because they dont have a way. yeah, some say, well if you want it bad enough, youd find a way. sometimes. Maybe i don't make sense.

Maybe these are just the ramblings of a girl who wishes she were more.

These are photos from the Tori song Winter. My mantra is in that song. And someone very close to me knows it well. Its a great song. Its a WONDERFUL album[Little Earthquakes]. I recommend picking it up. ok i'm done now.

What I saw today!

Ok, I just lost this post because my Windows POS went to hell on me. Lets try this again. It's not every day that a person gets to see a bridge exploded. Since the Arthur Ravenell Bridge has been opened, the two previous bridges, the Grace Memorial and the Silas Pearlman bridges are being torn down. The new bridge is 8 lanes wide and slightly higher. It is also the largest cable stay bridge in north america. The Grace Memorial was built in 1929, and up until 1963 was two lanes, one going each way. It was scary enough driving two cars one way. Can you imagine driving a 1957 Thunderbird down that thing with oncoming traffic? It was so narrow. So in 1963 the new Silas Pearman bridge was opened, and the Grace became one way toward Charleston from Mount Pleasant. The Silas was three lanes, two going toward Mount Pleasant, and one going toward Charleston. It is interesting to hear about the history behind these bridges. People have driven off of them, (most not on pourpose), some have jumped, and some have survived! It is impossible to survive a fall from the new bridge, just for the record. Personally, I'm glad to see the old bridges go. They are rusty and very dangerous. When we did the cooper river bridge run across the silas, it was shaking so much it was throwing people down. I'm glad to see them go, but I understand their importance in our history. We have moved on, and now we've got a beautiful bridge with a large warranty and a lot of safety in mind. Thanks for getting us around old bridges, and we'll never forget you. (please click on the picture to see a better comparison. The grace is on the left, the Silas is in the middle, and the Arthur is on the right. This was before the bridge opened for business, so you can see the cars on the other two scary bridges.)

Changes

I think i'm gonna start changing my site a bit. I'm gonna try to feature the "what i'm thinking about right now" thing a little more frequently, and I'm gonna ask around about what syndicating is. I think i'm syndicated, but i'm not sure. I started today by changing my counter. This will give me more information on whos visiting me from where. I find it interesting that I can communicate with people 5,000 miles away so easily. And I like to see what time people came here, and where they are, and what they looked at. Anyway, expect more changes to come. I'll try to spiff up the site a bit.
